Preparation of various supported nickel oxide on various oxides such as : TiO2, tetragonal ZrO2, SiO2, Nb2O5, Al2O3, H-Beta zeolite and AlPO4. The catalysts were characterized by various techniques like X-ray diffraction (XRD), temperature-programmed reduction (TPR), temperature-programmed desorption (TPD), BET surface area measurements, pulse hydrogen chemisorption, pore size distribution measurements, Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). The catalytic properties were evaluated for the hydrodechlorination of chlorinated aromatics. I have experience in the preparation of W type hard ferrites using sol gel and solid-state methods and the sintering : procedures of ferrites. Evaluation of their magnetic properties, curie temperatures, bulk density and magnetic susceptibility measurements. I have experience in handling various catalyst characterization instruments like Auto Chem 2910 (Micromeritics, USA) which is used for : temperature-programmed reduction, temperature-programmed desorption, pulse chemisorption, BET surface area and TPO, and Autopore III (Micromeritics, USA) for pore size distribution measurements, Gas chromatograph (HP 6890), bench type quadruple gas chromatograph Mass : spectrometer (HP 5973 GC-MS), I also gained experience with all glass high vacuum system for BET surface area measurements and chemisorption studies.
